Truth VS Reality

A lot of times when you’re in a spiritual or otherwise open-minded community and you start talking about fundamental principles in life, you hear people say things that sound very intellectual at first, but when you start thinking about it for longer than two seconds it makes absolutely no sense. I’m talking here especially about the topic of truth. It is about statements like: “Everybody creates their own reality, so there is no absolute truth”. To be fair these people are on the right track, but if this topic is to be really understood, a little bit more expanded mindset is needed.

Truth VS Reality

These are two words a lot of people confuse with each other. Even spiritual scientists and channelers. So many times when they say “truth” they mean “reality”. They might say what I said in the intro above about creating your own reality “and therefore…” – after which they pause and say “if there is absolute truth it is that we’re all connected”. Then immediately I’m thinking ‘So you do know what you just said isn’t true’…

So what is the difference between truth and reality then? Lets start by explaining some misconceptions.

Self-defeating statements

The following statements are all different variations of the same idea that people use when trying to explain their point of view. Now, while their point of view is unique to them and I can’t possibly take it away from them even if I wanted to, from an objective perspective it makes no sense as they are self-defeating statements. I will explain.

“There is no truth”.

Disproving this theory is extremely simple as all you have to do is ask the question: Is that true? If it is true then truth exists. If it is not true then truth exists. You can not use a truth statement to state truth does not exist.

“There is no absolute truth”.

A variation of the previous statement. Again ask the question: Is that absolutely true? If it is, then this statement is false, because an absolute truth statement is used to state truth is not absolute – which makes it break itself.

“You can not know the truth”.

How do you know that to be true? If you can not know the truth, how can you possibly know you can not know the truth? In fact I would argue you cán know the truth; among other ways by way of logical reasoning, as I have just illustrated with these examples.

“Your truth” / “My Truth” / “Personal Truth”

While this is not a self-defeating statement per se, it deserves to be mentioned because of the way a lot of people are using it. It is not technically self-defeating because for example it is true to me that black and blue are beautiful colors. But why I’m mentioning it here is because people are using this statement in an attempt to disprove facts that can be known by way of logical reasoning. For example when I try to explain these simple truths I have just talked about. These truths aren’t “true to me”, they are true. Truth is singular. Because truth can not exist and not exist at the same time. Especially since we all use truth statements, including those that are trying to disprove absolute truth. In order to be able to talk about anything at all you need to have a stable foundation.

So, truth exists. It is singular and absolute. And you can know the truth. Another absolute truth would be that life exists. You can know this with self-reflection: “I am aware, therefore life exists”.

Reality

These previous examples are as logical as a finite eternity. But there are plenty of other things you can say and experience where in order to know the truth, logical reasoning isn’t enough. I don’t claim to know the truth about a lot of things. I don’t know what the color green really looks like, because my eyes can only see a fraction of the entire spectrum of light. And I’m not just talking about physical light. I can’t say anything about direction, since that is dependent on where you are and where you are looking and I can’t even be 100 percent sure I’m really breathing at the moment or that I just think that it’s happening because of 3 dimensional conditioning.

All these kind of experiences belong to reality. When I talk about these kind of things I don’t talk about ‘truth’, I talk about ‘my reality’. Truth and reality are two different things!

Channelers have said it: “Consciousness is the highest physics”. I won’t go into detail about the working of consciousness, because this blog post would become way too long. But essentially you are influencing the vibration of everything in your surroundings. And because everything is energy and therefore connected, you are in contact with the entirety of existence – manifesting your thoughts and feelings. This creates reality, which is personal. But how to know the truth about this then?

If this is the way reality works then truly the only way to know the truth about these daily experiences, as I’ll call them, is to raise your vibration and awareness. The level of awareness that you need would be around 12th density awareness, which part of the beings around the Andromeda galaxy have and is considered to be the closest to source or “God”. Considering Humanity on Earth is only just entering the 4th and 5th density at the moment, we still have ways to go however.

Conclusion

There you have it, the difference between truth and reality. Truth is one of the building blocks of life and consciousness. Reality is what happens when that consciousness interacts with life. Keep exploring fundamental questions and esoteric knowledge. But if you wish to understand it fully, do not lose your logic. Most importantly though, share happiness and be free.

Bonus Section

Some more self-defeating statements. I will not explain them. Consider it a fun little logic exercise. (^_-)

“Everything is subjective”.

“I don’t know anything”.

“Freedom is not without obligation”.

“authentic person”

“This statement is false”.

One response to “Truth VS Reality”

  1. Logic isn’t everything of course. Because emotions aren’t logical for example. But you can use logic to know emotions exist.
