Sometimes, when someone says something, it reflects both the state of the world and your experiences so well it stays in your mind. And especially for me, being a thinker and a philosopher, with some quotes I kind of went into a meditative state. (‘meditate’ etymology dictionary: “to ponder, think abstractly, engage in mental contemplation”). Over time I have saved and written down the best quotes I encountered and from those I have chosen the 30 best ones for this blog post in order of ‘good’ (30) to ‘absolute best’ (1).
Some quotes are from Human Beings, some are channeled, and some come from “science fiction” works.
Disclaimer
The most people quoted in this post I don’t know well enough to make any kind of judgement about their character. But this post is not about that. As the saying goes: “Even a broken clock shows the right time twice a day”, this is about what is said in the moment. With love and respect I am starting the list.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
Jack Kerouac

The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.

Every act is an act of love, even though its a distorted act of love. [..] What do you love so much, that you’re willing to hurt me, in order to experience it?
Neale Donald Walsch

People go on talking about freedom, but they don’t want freedom exactly, they want irresponsibility. They ask for freedom, but deep down, unconsciously, they ask for irresponsibility, licence.
Osho
Freedom is maturity; licence is very childish. Freedom is possible only when you are so integrated that you can take the responsibility of being free.

But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?
Mark Twain

The idea that Carbon Dioxide is a poison is a false narrative to begin with. We are carbon based beings. And by demonizing carbon dioxide and carbon life we are actually demonizing ourselves. Now I think this even speaks to a larger agenda that we’ve talked about; the trans-human agenda where we’ve been conditioned to believe we are flawed as Human Beings and that we need to correct those flaws through technology, replacing our carbonness with polymers and synthetics in terms of skin and organs and tissues.

I often warn people: Somewhere along the way, someone is going to tell you, ‘There is no “I” in team.’ What you should tell them is, ‘Maybe not. But there is an “I” in independence, individuality and integrity.’

Judge a man by his questions rather than by his answers.

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy.
Ernest Benn

An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self sustained.

Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.
Oscar Wilde

It is in fact nothing short of a miracle that the modern methods of instruction have not yet entirely strangled the holy curious of inquiry. It is a very grave mistake to think that the enjoyment of seeing and searching can be promoted by means of coercion and a sense of duty.
Albert Einstein

He who succeeds in raising himself above his emotions, in suppressing in himself anger and the fear of illness, is capable of overcoming the attrition of the years and attaining an age at least double that at which men now die of old age.

I don’t know how to communicate this, or even if it is possible. But the question of justice has concerned me greatly of late. And I say to any creature who may be listening; there can be no justice so long as laws are absolute. Even life itself is an exercise in exceptions.
Jean-Luc Picard, Star Trek The Next Generation

What laws are the just laws? We say; virtually none of them. What laws are the just laws?! Because, you didn’t come to follow a pattern that someone else with other intentions or other experiences established for you.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

You have to remember that freedom is the highest value and if love is not giving you freedom then it is not love. Freedom is a criterion: Anything that gives you freedom is right, and anything that destroys your freedom is wrong. If you can remember this small criterion your life, slowly, will start settling on the right path about everything: your relationships, your meditations, your creativity, whatever you are.
